Registration Method

  1. Registration fee per team: 1,000 US dollars. (The preferential price is 700 US dollars for registration before 7/26.)
  2. Online registration:Team players and instructors must log into an online system to register their information.
  3. Relevant teams must submit their work as described in Attachment 1. The format must be in word , the number of pages must not exceed 3 pages, and the file size must not exceed 5MB.
  4. The participating teams are required to submit the relevant affidavits, as shown in Attachment 2, which must be signed by all team members and scanned into PDF format with a file size of no more than 2MB.
  5. Relevant teams must upload video clips introducing their work. Please upload the videos to YouTube first, and set the privacy option to "Non-Public ,(so that only those who know the URL can watch the video)." After uploading the videos, fill in the video URL in the online registration form.
  6. The participating teams must arrange the transportation to and from the countries where they originate on their own. The event organizer will provide accommodation ,(two people in one room), the welcome banquet, lunch and transportation during the event. If you have any special needs, you may contact the event organizer for assistance.

Competition Method

  1. According to the theme of the competition, each participating team shall use App Inventor to construct an app for evaluation.
  2. The participating teams must set up the exhibition booths at the location specified by the event organizer and will be notified separately about the space and size for each team to display their work items . Each team must introduce their work items to the event organizer and give a brief about their work items to the board of review at the location and time specified by the event organizer.
  3. The briefings are conducted in English and the time allocated for each participating team is as follows:
    • Field layout setting: 5 minutes
    • Briefing time: 25 minutes. (15 minutes for the briefing, 10 minutes for questions and answers)
    • The time will be counted down. When there are only 3 minutes left, 1 minute left and 30 seconds left, and when the time is up, the bell will ring.
    • Withdrawal from the field: about 5 minutes
  4. The participating teams must display their works at the designated locations and the designated time, and the posters should be used as much as possible to help visitors understand the ideas behind those works.

Competition Awards

  • The winners of the gold, silver and bronze medals will be selected according to the Grading Standards (Assessment Criteria).
  • In addition, to the top three, the event organizer and the board of review will select a number of winners based on their performances.

Competition Rules

  1. The participating teams agree to abide by the competition guidelines specified by the event organizer and the review announcements, rules and assessment results determined by the board of review.
  2. If any participating team has one of the following situations, the event organizer has the right to cancel the qualification for competition and reclaim the award given to the winning team:
    • The information reported in the competition is false, or untrue.
    • The work is confirmed to plagiarize or infringe upon others' patents, know-how, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights.
    • In the competition venue, the team has behavior that may affect other teams and result in unfair competition.
    • The work is in violation of the rules set out in this Competition.
  3. The participating teams agree to cooperate with the event organizer in promotional activities, and provide free information about their work, such as promotional video clips and photographs compiled into an album for non-profit use at home and abroad.
  4. The organizer may modify relevant instructions of the competition as needed and publish such changes on the competition website. The participating teams should frequently visit the website to read the announcements and must not raise objections on the grounds of not knowing about such information.
